Book your ultimate Cornish Holiday.

Situated at the mouth of the Camel Estuary on the North Cornish Coast, Polzeath is Close to Rock, Padstow & Port Isaac.

As of 21st March we have taken the decision, along with all other campsites and letting agents in the area,  to close all our self catering properties and both campsites until at least the 4th July due to the government advice regarding non essential travel and safe distancing for everyone. Anyone who has a booking between now and then will be contacted .

Balance Payments

We would therefore advise people not to pay any balances by the usual 28 days prior to arrival, until it 100% confirmed we will be able to open for the dates your holiday covers.

Bookings for Summer 2020

We are hopeful that we may be able to open in-line with government guidelines from approx. 4th July. In order to do this we must first work out how we can keep everyone safe and at a social distance. This will inevitably mean fewer pitches than normal. Whilst we work out the best way to do this we are suspending any further bookings for July/August as we will need to re-allocate the many of hundreds of bookings we already have for this period.

Once we have a clearer idea of the way forward we will of course update the website and inform existing customers how it will affect them.

Thank you for your patience.

Our number one priority is to keep the local residents and staff as safe as we can so we can all come back stronger and ready to welcome all our valued customers back to Cornwall when this crisis is over.

We strongly urge everyone to follow the government advice and not to visit Cornwall or indeed any other part of the UK at this time to help prevent this virus spreading.

Thank you all for your co-operation and see you all the other side. #staysafe #bekind

I would like to say what a lovely campsite Southwinds is.  The whole place was lovely and clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful.

I will be telling everyone about this place and the lovely couple who work there. Thank you so much!

5 Star Review – June 2017

“We received a very warm welcome from Sas, with an explanation about the facilities on site.

Toilets & showers were spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water. This has always been our first choice site when staying in Cornwall.

Looking forward to another stay at Southwinds!

Tristram campsite could not be better positioned. It is on the side of the cliff and has amazing views of Polzeath beach, the sea and the coast. It is the perfect camping holiday for surfers, families, dog walkers, cyclists, runners, kids & teenagers. If you camp at Tristram when it’s sunny, warm & clear as we did this last week, it is the perfect combination the UK has to offer!
