FAMILY CAMPING JUST OUTSIDE THE POPULAR COASTAL VILLAGE OF POLZEATH
If you are looking for fun with all the family and want an outdoors experience with great facilities then look no further, you’re guaranteed to have an exceptional adventure and enjoy every moment.
Southwinds gives beautiful panoramic views of both coast and countryside and takes in the glorious sunsets over Polzeath bay below us.
Southwinds is ideal for families and couples who wish for some peace and tranquillity after a long day at the beach or out exploring the wonderful Cornish coast and countryside.
Southwinds is a perfect pitstop for people who are walking the wonderful South West Coastal Footpath.
The site is spread over 3 spacious camping fields.
We have a playing field for ball games and an overflow car parking field adjacent to Stepper field.
Southwinds field is for small tents & campervans, our Budget area is in the centre of this field and is popular with walkers and surfers alike.
Trenant field is for Caravans, Motorhomes, Campervans & Tents, there are a variety of different pitch sizes in this field. The Premier pitches are not available to reserve for tents.
We then have Stepper field, this is open for the 6 weeks main summer period and accommodates all options on different pitches.
Please check the size of your tent/vehicle is right for the pitch you reserve. If you choose a pitch that is too small, you may be asked to move and re-pitch.
Electric hook-up is available on most of our allocated pitches & is now included in the pitch rate where available.

All Fields have space to park one vehicle along side your camping unit, with additional parking areas for an extra vehicle if required.
We have Free Hot Showers, Large hot water washing up sinks.
Coin operated Washing Machines and Tumble Dryers along with a free to use chest freezer.
There is a footpath to Polzeath Beach & village, ask in reception for directions as we don’t recommend walking along the road.
Please note the footpath is a walking route only & not suitable for Cycles, Trollies, or Buggies or Wheelchairs.
Please note: During High Season we cannot guarantee check in before 1pm.
Latest Check in time is strictly 6pm.

Suitable for Small to Medium size tents, caravans, camper vans & motorhomes up to 5M. Space for 1 small awning, 1 car & EHU available with most, positioned in the centre of Trenant field.
Silver Pitch – Available during high season only.
Suitable for either a Medium Size Tent, Trailer Tent, Caravan, Camper Van or Motor Home up to 6M or Tent 6M x 5M. Space for 1 Awning & 1 Car. EHU Available. Max 6 People.
Prime
Suitable for family sized caravans & motorhomes up to 6M or Tent 6M X 5M. Space for awning, 1 car & EHU available. Maximum people 6.
Premier
Suitable for family sized caravans & motorhomes up to 8M. Space for awning, 1 car and EHU available. Maximum people 6.

All pitch sizes are approximate and should allow room for guy ropes and a sitting out / BBQ area.
Southwinds is a quiet family site, and as such will only accept families & couples.
No teenagers without parents are permitted.
No Open Fire’s, No Fire pits
Southwinds is an all grass site so are unable to accommodate HGV’s i.e. converted Horse Lorries
